Share the detail that matters.
Access Notes works when people can trust what they read and feel comfortable sharing what they know.
Write from your own experience.
Describe a visit you actually made. Be specific about the entrance, route, surface, room, or facility. An approximate visit date helps readers judge how current your observation is.
Leave room for different needs.
A route that worked for you might be difficult for someone else. Describe the conditions and what helped, without declaring a whole place accessible for everyone.
Respect people’s privacy.
Don’t include diagnoses, contact details, or identifying information about other people. You can describe your own access needs if you choose. Your public display name appears with your notes; your email does not.
Keep it practical and respectful.
No harassment, hate, threats, spam, promotions, or copied reviews. Don’t impersonate venue staff or claim to speak for another visitor. A note is a practical observation, not an advertisement.
Help keep information current.
You can edit or remove your own notes from the place page or your contributions page. Use “Report” for a note that breaks these guidelines and “Report a place detail” for incorrect or outdated information. Reports are private and reviewed by moderators.
What moderation does.
Moderators can hide reported notes and resolve reports. Removed notes stop appearing publicly; a limited record remains for abuse handling and accountability. Reporting a disagreement doesn’t automatically make either person wrong.
